Revision and Reflecting

Today's session reviewing and reflecting on this DFI journey

What am I proud of?

Stick-ability
I actually stuck with this journey for the last 9 weeks! This is big because I really did NOT want to continue after session 1 where I felt like a fish out of water and as if I was in a nightmare where I am sitting down to an exam in a foreign language. But hey I know what an omnibox is now!

Open-mindedness
I have broadened my teaching horizon and gathered a kete of possibilities and a few practical digital skills. I know there is much practicing to be done before the skills become fluent, but at least I know there are resources AND people who will support me.

What do I regret?
Nothing as yet... however I still do find the idea that I am accessible and my teaching is viewable still a little unnerving

What will I be taking forward into my teaching/schooling?

Sharing /collaboration with others
T shaped literacy - not as yet but looking forward to this
Having work visible for whanau/ pupils at home
Creating visually exciting content to draw learners in
Letting pupils drive the creative content more
Remember that kids' work does not always have to be 'perfect' and reworked before sharing it 😊

  1. Viv, well done! Congratulations on completing the DFI, such an awesome accomplishment, especially as it was so far out of your comfort zone! It has been awesome to see the learning and confidence you've gained. Am really looking forward to continuing to work with you next term.
    Have a wonderful break!
